It is marked as 'St Dunstan's Braille Writer'

St Dunstan's, now called Blind Veterans UK, is a charity organization that supports vision-impared ex-armed forces personel.

This typewriter was likely made in the 1920s and would have been used at St Dunstan's to train World War 1 veterans to write using Braille. 

It is functional. Six keys plus a large spacebar across the front. The serial number of this specific piece is 608. Made by Redwing Ltd, in Croyden, England. 

Measures 14" across at longest point. 9" Deep. 5.5" tall.
